Tuesday Night Dinghy Racing
Managed by South Port Sailing School, Tuesday Dinghy racing begins
the first Tuesday in July (the 5th) and runs for nine consecutive weeks until August 30th.
There will be three series of three races apiece.
The 420 fleet had a fantastic turnout in 2010 with an average 6 boats every week! Let's beat that number this season, have more participation and revive our declining sport at SPSC.
This year we are strongly encouraging a Laser One Design start. A sailor wishing to race a laser, does not have to be a club affiliate or sailing school affiliate. The Laser fleet will consist of only privately owned boats, since the school or club do not own any Lasers to lend out.
Racing begins at 6:50pm, all races are a short windward leeward with generally 3 or 4 races per evening.

Club 420s
Club 420's are available on a first come first served basis by members and sailing school students:
A Sailing School Coach or Instructor will be at the Club no later than 5:30pm to assist skippers with any questions about the 420's and how to sail one.
Fees and Registration for use of a 420 are $15 per race OR $30 per series, which includes sails, rigging lesson (if needed), race committee expenses and general repairs as a result of use.
Benefits of sailing the Tuesday Night Series:
Students taking CYA standard courses at SPSC will benefit from Tuesday Nights with improved boat handling skills and you will increase the chances for successful completion of their level.
*This year will have awards for the top 3 420 teams every series and with a good turnout also will have a club overall award*
The Facebook page will have the events posted eventually.
Don't forget to mark on your calendar too about our 420 Summer Regatta on July 16 & 17.
Their is a limited number of spots available to be filled, don't procrastinate for too long.
