39th Harvest Moon Regatta

This is a sanctioned Essex County PHRF Association counter regatta for Lake St. Clair and ECPHRF boat of the year.

South Port Sailing Club invites all self righting, self bailing sailboats to particpate in our Annual Harvest Moon Regatta.

The Harvest Moon Regatta is a 26.3nm race around the south western portion of Lake St. Clair. Starting from the center mark of the South Port modified Olympic course the race takes you close to Belle River Light out to R24 then back to South Port to finish.

For those interested in seeing the race from land, the Belle River Mark will be located approximately 300ft due north of the Belle River Light.

Awards:
Awards will be South Havest Moonl Regatta Flags as well as the First Shark, Best Corrected and First to Finish Trophies. Three flags will be awarded in classes with six boats or more.

Docking & Water Depth:
Open wells will be marked with yellow safety tape, if there are no wells available rafting is available on the outside walls.

We anticipate enough water depth to accommodate boats with up to 5 feet 6 inches draft. For more information on water depth please visit the Property/Harbor section of our forum.

Friday Evening
1800hrs to 2000hrs Registration and welcoming committee for visiting boats.
Saturday
1000hrs to 1300hrs Registration - final class split posted.
1500 hrs Attention Signal.
After Race Beer, chili and Awards back at the club.
